Works for Me Wednesday

Our family likes "Slushies", but that can add up when purchasing for everyone. About 2 months ago I was using my StumbleUpon Toolbar and "Stumbled upon" a recipe for Homemade Slushies. I made them for my boys with their lunch that day and they have now become a weekly treat here in our household.

I have also made these using Sugar Free Drink Mixes(i.e. Crystal Light or the generic version of those). I have used Splenda rather then sugar a couple of times. Very tasty and yummy whichever recipe was used!!
These are very easy, inexpensive and a great treat to make!

We like slushies too and often make them with lemon juice, ice cubes and a touch of sugar. Sometimes we even add strawberries or raspberries. And we've discovered that starting with a little water and adding the ice cubes one or two at a time works best. They sure are a wonderful treat on hot summer days!
